The video is about the new phone system called the Snome M500 series. It is the next generation of the previous M100 kle series and offers a decked series of products. It supports key system emulation, shared calls, and standard private SIP accounts. The M500 base station can support up to eight phones and eight concurrent calls, and two base stations can be paired to support a total of 16 phones and 16 concurrent calls. The M55 handset has a 2.4 inch color display, programmable feature keys, Bluetooth capability, and antibacterial plastics. The M58 desk set has a five inch color display, programmable feature keys, and dedicated hard keys for intercom, hold, mute, transfer, and directory. Both the handset and desk set can be customized with removable lenses. The video demonstrates the functionality of the Kle system, including call management, call answering, and call holding.
hi this is Ian mitchellist gnome
Americas and we wanted to show off our
new phone system
the snome M500 series of products now
those of you that might be familiar with
our previous series The M100 kle will
probably recognize that this is pretty
similar as it's essentially just that
the next generation of that product
so what this offers is it is a decked
series of products so of course you have
a standard deck debate station like most
deck base stations this is the M500
itself and then we also have our m58
which is our dect desk set and then we
have the m55 which is the dect handset
now like the M100 kle we do support
essentially a key system emulation or or
a key line functionality where you can
actually have shared calls that are
visible on both the handset the desk set
and allows you to easily hold calls and
pick them back up and of course we also
support standard private sip accounts so
you might have your own extensions
either on the handsets of the desk sets
and of course you can also program the
pfks for all kinds of different
functionality
so in order to go over
um the the kind of individual components
of course we do have that M500 base
station and we do support up to eight
phones and eight concurrent calls one
nice thing we have is we can actually
pair two base stations together in a
dual cell environment
and if you do pair those two base
stations together we support a total of
16 of our phones any combination that
you want and 16 concurrent calls now to
get a little bit of a closer look let's
actually do a bit of a side-by-side
comparison here so if we look at our
previous product
so we have our M10 and if we see that
compared to our m55 and a side by side
we can see you know one nice thing is
we're going from a monochrome display
with only four of the pfks to actually a
2.4 inch color display and we actually
have six of the programmable feature
Keys now instead of just four and
another nice thing about that is on the
M10
we were limited to just a single color
LED so you basically had a green LED for
um indication so it's either basically
on or off but with the
um M50 E5 we actually support dual color
LEDs so we'll notice that can be green
or red for different indications whether
it's an incoming call or a held call or
a call that was answered on a different
device or we can see like in this case
we have six as actually showing green
because it's actually monitoring one of
the desk sets back there so we can see
that it's green because that desk set is
basically idle but if we just go off
hook real quick and then make a phone
call
we'll actually turn red to indicate that
it's actually in use
so I'm focusing on the on the handset
some more so again what we have here is
the 2.4 inch color display we have the
three soft keys
we do support up to the six programmable
feature Keys which could be used for
private lines or shared lines or decked
busy monitoring speed dials
whatever you'd like and then we also do
have of course speakerphone
and we also have another button on the
side that's currently programmed for
intercom and paging so it gives you a
quicker access to those kinds of
features and another nice thing about
this solution is both the m55 and the
m58 have Bluetooth built into them so if
you have your favorite Bluetooth headset
you can use that in order for your audio
communication for a more completely
cordless experience especially with the
m55 so if you're running around the
office or you know maybe you have an
auto shop and somebody's like underneath
the car something like that they don't
have to worry about getting hung up on
wires if they're using like the three
and a half millimeter audio jack instead
so again this is the m55 handset
and if we focus now on the desk set what
we see here with the m58 is we have a
nice five inch color display and we
actually offer eight programmable
feature keys for the phone and four soft
keys and the nice thing about these
eight feature Keys is we actually have a
dedicated next page button so we can
actually scroll through up to three
pages of programmable features so this
way it becomes like a real true
Workhorse like a standard sip desk set
so if you're doing busy monitoring for
other phones like we have here where
we're monitoring the two handsets or if
you need like some additional private
lines or if you want to have like direct
paging buttons or speed dials and stuff
like that we can support all that stuff
the other nice thing is this lens is
actually removable so it's held on by
magnets and we can remove it and we will
be offering
um blank lenses to um basically allow
more customization options at a lower
price point so another good feature
we do have a nice selection of feature
hard keys so we've got dedicated keys
for things like intercom or hold mute
transfer directory again like a
traditional sip does set but of course
this being decked means the only thing
that you require is just power itself
and like our previous um snow phones we
have the great sensor hook switch so no
movable hook switch that can potentially
break and we can see down here that both
the m58 and the m55 we're using
antibacterial Plastics on it so
nice good helpful phone for a healthy
environment
so as we can look at how we have this
programmed right the the benefit of the
shared lines is that ability to
basically
manage your calls through much better
visualization you don't have to worry
about call Park orbits or anything like
that so we can see that we have this
programmed where we've got four shared
calls here for the auto shop where you
basically essentially it's line one two
three over four but we also have our own
private extension over here so this
particular phone is 1031
and we can also see that we have a
dedicated
um or a default account not dedicated by
a default account selected so that way
um our default is the private extension
1031 so if we just pick up the handset
we're going to be using that extension
but if we need to make a call with the
kle we can just pick that button in
order to switch over to that account in
order to make the call or if you're
answering a call and of course the m55
handsets will have the same thing so if
we see on this phone our default account
is 1386 but of course I can just pick
one of the K lead lines and it'll change
over to that particular line or I could
even pick maybe another private account
that I have in this case account five we
can see that is on 1032.
it just gives you a lot of flexibility
in how you want to manage your calls and
your phone system and to see what that
looks like for the kle once you do a
little demonstration here
so we'll have some calls come in and we
can see what this is going to look like
so we see that the first call comes in
all the phones are ringing on line one
and we notice like if a second call
comes in you'll notice that the caller
ID will simply roll over
to that next call
so we can see all of them update we now
have the second line coming in we are
getting a call from 10 16. and if even a
third call comes in we'll see that it'll
just roll over again
[Music]
so now we're getting a call from
1286 and if we need to you can actually
just hit up or down in order to change
between the different color IDs to make
sure that you know who you're wanting to
talk to or of course you could just pick
any of the buttons so if we do that now
we'll just go ahead and start answering
these calls so we'll answer that first
one
people have this guy answer the third
call
and then maybe we'll have this guy right
here answer that second incoming call
[Music]
so now we can see that all of our calls
are answered
and what we notice here is of course
because of the dual color LED we see
that we get the green indication for the
call that we have answered on that
particular phone and then the other two
calls are read to indicate that somebody
else has picked them up and the label
even updates to show you that they're on
a call
and same thing with the handset we see
that you know we've answered line two so
that's one that's green
one and three are being answered by
somebody else so those are red and of
course we know that six is being is
monitoring this particular phone which
is currently in use
and the nice thing is we can go ahead
and actually hold these calls so we can
just go ahead and use that button right
there to hold it
and then we see that it updates so now
this calls on hold
and we can put these ones on hold either
through the soft key or the dedicated
hard key
so we'll just start holding all these
and again we see that all the statuses
update they're all synchronized so we've
got the flashing held calls both on the
best sets and on the handsets and then
even on the handset if we did want to
see who's holding we can actually go
into the call list here
and then we can scroll through the calls
themselves
before we decide to pick one up unless
of course somebody's announced that we
have the call holding and then we can
just pick it up directly right through
the button so we'll go back onto
line one for this guy
and then maybe we'll just pick up line
three on this phone
and it'll pick up line two
on this phone
and that's how easy it is to manage the
calls on this system and that's the
benefit of that key system emulation or
the shared call experience
I hope you enjoyed this and look forward
to more of our videos
